This national telecommunications industry program offers graduating high-school seniors a chance at one of thirty scholarships worth $2,500 each. Applicants must receive local service from and sponsored by WRT. Preference to individuals expressing an interest in returning to a rural community following graduation.

Minot State University Scholarships
Native American Scholarship - due July 15 - This is open to ALL Native American students who are enrolled in a federally recognized tribe.
Northarvest Bean Growers Association - open through January 5, 2026, for two $2,000 scholarships. These scholarships are available to the children or grandchildren of current dry edible bean growers in Minnesota and North Dakota. Applicants must be planning to enroll in a university, college, or technical school.
North Dakota Crop Improvement - due February 15th
North Dakota Scholarship - video for 2024 explaining requirements, etc. Students will apply for the scholarship with Ms. Krause during spring semester. Application opens January 5th and closes June 5th.
ND Dual Credit Tuition Scholarship - for high school graduates who took dual credit (if you are taking a spring semester dual credit course don't apply for this until Fall 2026; if you took a Fall 2025 dual credit course and are not in a spring dual credit course you can apply; see Ms. Krause if you have questions).

West River Telecom - due February 27th - online application goes directly to WRT. Must be a customer of WRT or dependent of WRT customer.
WRT will be awarding eight $2,000 scholarships: one per each of the seven WRT districts, plus a separate scholarship for the child of a WRT employee or director. WRT is also offering TWO $3,000 technology scholarships to a student entering a technology related field, such as telecommunications, electronics and computer technology, network systems administration, network and communications management, information technology and web development.
FSA ID – student and parent each need their own FSA ID to complete the FAFSA. Apply for PIN at least several days prior to beginning FAFSA.
FAFSA – high school seniors beginning college in Fall of 2026 will complete the 2026-26 FAFSA; open now; use 2024 tax information
