External Scholarship Sites - the scholarships listed here are scholarships that anyone can apply for. I found them on the NDSCS financial aid website but all students can apply for them. Most of these scholarships are open to students from anywhere in the country. You should look these over because you might meet the eligibility requirements. This is a great resource. I could list all of these scholarships on my website but I'm not going to create work when they are all available to you on the NDSCS page. :-)

Hagen Scholarship Foundation - must have a 3.75 cumulative GPA and qualify for free/reduced lunch or be Pell Grant eligible. Deadline December 1
HEA Scholarship - due May 1 - for college junior or senior from Hazen
Horatio Alger Career & Tech Scholarship Program – one and two year trade or technical programs; must be Pell grant eligible
Horatio Algers Scholarship Association Scholarships – for families with $65,000 or less adjusted gross income; juniors in high school can apply for this scholarship
Marine Corp Scholarship Foundation – Undergrad & Associate Degree Scholarships – must be child of Marine or Navy veteran
Marine Corp Scholarship Foundation – CTE Scholarships – must be child of Marine or Navy veteran

Native American Scholarship - due July 15 - This is open to ALL Native American students who are enrolled in a federally recognized tribe.

NDSU Scholarships - 2024 scholarships open November 1 and close February 1
North Dakota Association of Counties - due May 24th - several $2,000 scholarships will be awarded - To qualify, students must have a parent or grandparent currently employed by a county, including elected and appointed officials as well as other full-time county employees. The student must plan to attend an accredited North Dakota college or technical school.

UND Scholarship Central - must be accepted to UND prior to submitting form; due February 1
FSA ID – student and parent each need their own FSA ID to complete the FAFSA. Apply for PIN at least several days prior to beginning FAFSA.
FAFSA – can begin application in December of 2023; use 2022 tax information; apply for 2024-25 school year financial aid (you complete the 2024-25 FAFSA).
