Welcome to Mrs. Schmitt’s Classroom!
English II (grade 10) and English IV (grade 12)
Hello Students and Parents. Welcome to my classroom via the web page. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am originally from Bottineau, ND, but I have lived in Hazen for 24 years. I am married to Mark, and we have two daughters, Kaydin and Karlee, both who graduated from Hazen High School. I attended NDSU-Bottineau (now Dakota College of Bottineau) and Minot State University, where I received a Bachelor of Science in both Special Education and Elementary Education.
We have two high-energy dogs, Tuukka, a German Shorthair Pointer, and Barkley, a Vizsla. I enjoy kayaking, watching movies, photographing wildlife, deer hunting, and time at the lake – camping, campfires, boating, tubing, and fishing.
Outside the classroom, you will likely see me at sporting events, as I am a co-manager for fall and winter concessions.
